Edmonton Web Design
Web Design in Edmonton
Edmonton business owners come to us for one thing: a website that ranks locally and actually brings in customers.
Who we build websites for in Edmonton
You’re not just competing with the business down the street anymore. In a market this size, whoever shows up first on Google usually wins the call before the phone even rings. We build for four kinds of Edmonton business, and each one needs something different from its website.
Trades and home services
Roofers, HVAC, plumbers, electricians, landscapers, your customer found you between jobs, probably from their truck. The site needs to load fast, put the phone number where a thumb can reach it, and cover how Edmonton actually sprawls, Mill Woods to the west end, not just wherever your shop happens to be.
Industrial and commercial
Equipment, fabrication, transport, safety, industrial supply, a lot of it feeding Nisku and Edmonton's industrial core. Whoever's buying is a procurement contact who searched Google before they called anyone. The site's job is proving you're legitimate: certifications, real project photos, and a way to reach an actual person.
Clinics and practices
Dental, chiro, physio, optometry, legal, accounting, in a city this size you're not competing with the clinic down the street, you're competing with every practice that shows up in the same map pack. That means frictionless booking, real photos of real people, and rankings for the treatments people actually search.
Retail and storefronts
Whyte Avenue, 124 Street, South Edmonton Common, the strips people search before they drive. Your website's real job isn't looking pretty, it's backing up your Google Business Profile: correct hours, the right location, current photos, and content Google can actually rank next to your map listing.

Work we've done across the Edmonton region
These aren’t launch-and-disappear projects. We still host, maintain, and actively grow most of the sites below, several of them for six years running.
Darren Does That
Gutters, windows, and permanent Christmas lights. We moved them off an outdated WordPress site onto a custom build and run monthly SEO.

Austin Security
Rebuilt from Bricks into Elementor for a faster, more secure site, with monthly SEO keeping their commercial security work in front of buyers.

Modern Air & Water
Off a paid theme and onto a fully custom build, with monthly SEO and AEO work behind it in a competitive HVAC market.

Impact HR
Squarespace could not carry what they needed. We moved them to a proper custom WordPress site and handle their monthly SEO and AEO.

Clarity Cross Border
A startup with an idea. We built the strategy, vision, and brand, then the site. They now rank across LLMs throughout North America.

Peoples Pharmacy
A national brand of independent pharmacists needed a primary site that matched their scale. We rebuilt it custom from the ground up.
Edmonton Home Security
Their old WordPress site was riddled with malware. We rebuilt it custom, clean, and secure, on a foundation built to stay that way.
Edmonton Wart Clinic
Fifteen years on the same WordPress site. We replaced it with a custom build designed to win local rankings and make booking simple.

Apollo Plumbing
Nine years, multiple rebuilds. We have grown with Apollo since 2017 and handle their local SEO and AEO on a custom-built site.
How a website project runs
We plan on six weeks for a typical Edmonton build. If that slips, it’s almost always because we’re waiting on content or approvals from your side, not because we’ve gone quiet.
1. Discovery
A call first, not a form to fill out. We want to know what you sell, who's buying it, where your leads actually come from today, and what the new site needs to do differently. Then we audit your current site, your Edmonton competitors, and the search landscape before coming back with a fixed price and a real plan.
2. Design
The homepage and key templates come first, so you're reacting to something real instead of a mood board. You give feedback, we revise it. Nothing goes further until you've actually signed off on how it looks.
3. Build and content
We build it in WordPress on a private staging site while writing your copy alongside it. You review actual pages on a real URL, on your actual phone, not a PDF mockup. Revisions happen now, not after the site's live.
4. Launch
DNS, 301 redirects from every old URL, SSL, analytics, Search Console, all handled before anything goes live. Nothing points at the new site until it's been checked on staging first. Your existing rankings travel with you.
5. Growth
Once you're live, you're on a care plan: hosting, updates, monitoring, backups, support. If you want growth beyond maintenance, that's where SEO or Google Ads comes in, but only once the numbers justify it.

A major part of this was how useful the information tied into search engine optimization to help us drive traffic on the bison website. We learnt so much about troubleshooting in e-commerce and business and about the difference between earned media (social media) and owned media (your website) and how to make earned media point back to owned media. Thank you, YEG Digital! Marcia Ewuraesi MochiaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. For our group based course this semester, Paul, the CEO of YEG Digital, volunteered his time to deliver an in-depth presentation that helped our class develop a digital and website design plan for working with a small business. In particular, he helped our group refine our project direction by emphasizing the importance of strong social media visuals for marketing and attracting potential customers, which is especially useful in a small town. Thank you, Paul, for your valuable time and effort in making this process easier for us. Keizsa RarasTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Paul Letourneau was very professional, approachable, and generous with his time. He gave our team practical advice on improving our digital strategy, including tips on making our content more engaging and effective. We left with clear next steps we could immediately apply to our project. We are very grateful for his expertise and would highly recommend working with him. Luke SchaeferTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Paul spoke in my University class to give us pointers on digital marketing and was an unreal speaker and very interactive, leading a class-wide discussion. His knowledge of website exposure and marketing/business techniques helped a lot with our project of working with small businesses. Helene BuysTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Paul came in to give a presentation for one of my classes on the topics of digital marketing, website development, and AI design strategies. He was very knowledgeable in what he was sharing with us and kept the class engaged throughout. I found Paul to be very considerate and forthcoming when answering questions and that he truly cared about ensuring we had the information we needed. Paul did an excellent job in conveying his knowledge, everything was clear and well organized. He even looked at some of the group projects to help us further understand what he was talking about and how to implement it. Paul gave my group some useful advice for our project. One of the key things he mentioned to us was that we could use Loom.com to record our screen and show the process we are going through step by step. We can then send this video to our partner, who runs a small hops fam, for future use when updating the website we are designing for them.
Edmonton website pricing made simple
Projects start around $4,500, though most land somewhere between $7,500 and $15,000 once you factor in scope, strategy, and complexity. Bigger, enterprise builds run higher than that. Hosting and support are billed separately as a monthly plan, quoted alongside the project. You’ll get a defined scope, a realistic timeline, and no fees that show up later.
We don't disappear after launch
New Edmonton clients tell us the same story about their last web developer: responsive right up until launch, then gone. We built two things to fix that. Hosting and maintenance is the white-glove layer: Kinsta hosting, daily backups, WordPress updates, and monitoring that catches problems before you’d notice them, so the site stays off your mind entirely. Website support handles everything else: an open Basecamp project where you post what you need and someone on our team picks it up, next week or three years from now.
Already have a website? Start with SEO
Sometimes the problem isn’t the website, it’s the traffic. If your Edmonton business already has a site you like but it’s invisible in search, rebuilding it is an expensive way to solve the wrong problem. We’ll audit what’s there, tell you honestly whether it needs replacing or just needs to be found, and quote accordingly.
Areas we serve
We’re based in Edmonton and build most of our sites for businesses across the region, with clients further out across Alberta, Canada, and the United States. If your city isn’t listed yet, ask anyway. Distance has never been the reason we couldn’t take on a project.

Who you'll actually work with
We’re a small team, born and based right here in Edmonton. You work with the same four people from the first phone call through year five, nobody hands you off to someone new once the contract’s signed.

Edmonton web design FAQ
Do you work with businesses in Edmonton, and can you help us rank locally?
Yes, and it’s the whole point of the build, not an add-on afterward. Every site launches with local SEO fundamentals already in place: location pages, schema markup, a Google Business Profile that actually matches the site, and content structured the way Google reads it. Being based in Edmonton means we’re not guessing at the market, or at what someone searching “web design near me” or “web designer Edmonton” actually needs to see.
How long does it take to build a website?
Six weeks is the plan for most builds. Bigger scope, custom functionality, e-commerce, or a big content migration pushes that to eight or twelve. Almost every delay we’ve ever had traces back to waiting on the client side, content, photos, approvals, not us.
What does a website cost?
Budget $4,500 to start, with most Edmonton projects landing between $7,500 and $15,000 once scope is nailed down. That number is fixed before work starts, it doesn’t creep as an hourly rate would. Hosting and support are a separate monthly line, quoted alongside the build.
Do you build on WordPress?
Yes, and not by default, on purpose. It’s open source, it runs a huge share of the internet, and it means you actually own the site, you can take it and leave any time. No marketplace themes either, everything we build is custom.
Is this web design, or web development?
Both, under one roof. Design is what it looks like, development is what makes it work: the WordPress build, the custom functionality, the parts a screenshot can’t show you. You’re not hiring a designer and then scrambling to find a developer once the mockup’s approved.
Do you write the content, or do we provide it?
We write it. Every build gets copy backed by keyword research and a look at your competitors before a word goes on the page. You review and sign off on everything, and if you’d rather write it yourself, we’ll build around that instead.
Do we have to meet in person?
If you’d like to, sure, we’re right here. Plenty of Edmonton clients still prefer running the whole thing over calls and a shared staging link though. Either way works fine on our end.
Are there long-term contracts?
No lock-in. Hosting and support run month to month, and if you ever leave, your site and your data go with you. The build itself is a fixed-scope project with a defined start and finish, not an open-ended retainer.
What happens to our rankings when the new site launches?
We handle that directly: every old URL gets a 301 redirect mapped to its new home before launch, and we watch Search Console closely for the first few weeks after. A small dip during reindexing is normal and typically climbs back past where you started. The sites that actually get hurt are the ones where nobody planned the redirects.
