St Albert Web Design
Web Design in St Albert
In St Albert, we build websites that look like the business behind them and rank when it counts.
Who we build websites for in St Albert
St Albert has money and taste, and its businesses get judged accordingly. A site that looks like every other WordPress theme won’t hold up against the St Albert Trail chains or north Edmonton competitors your customers are also considering. Here’s who we build for.
Trades and home services
Electricians, plumbers, HVAC, landscaping crews, the trades St Albert and Sturgeon County depend on. Nobody's browsing your site for fun, they're on a job site or in a driveway with a problem. We build for fast load times, a tap-to-call number, and a service radius that stretches into Sturgeon County's acreages, not just the city core.
Industrial and commercial
Industrial supply, fabrication, transport, and safety companies based out of the Riel and Boudreau business parks. The person buying from you is a procurement contact doing due diligence online before picking up the phone. We build for credibility first: capabilities, certifications, and proof, not just a product list.
Clinics and practices
Dental, chiro, physio, optometry, legal, accounting practices competing against a north Edmonton clinic your patient could just as easily drive to. Real photos of real staff, frictionless online booking, and rankings for the actual treatment searches, not just your business name, are what keep them local.
Retail and storefronts
St Albert Trail, the Perron District, the places people search before they park the car. What your site actually needs to do is support your Google Business Profile: accurate hours, the right location pin, current photos, and content that ranks next to the map listing people click first.

How a website project runs
A St Albert build typically takes six weeks start to finish. When it stretches longer, it’s almost never on us, it’s waiting on content, photos, or a sign-off.
1. Discovery
It starts with a call, not paperwork. We ask what you sell, who buys it, where your leads come from right now, and what this site is actually supposed to accomplish. Then we audit your current site, competitors, and the search landscape before quoting a fixed price.
2. Design
The homepage and core templates come first so you can react to something concrete instead of guessing. You give feedback, we revise it, and nothing gets built beyond that until you sign off.
3. Build and content
We build on a private WordPress staging site and write your content at the same time. You review real pages at a real URL, from your phone, and any revisions happen before launch, not after.
4. Launch
DNS, redirects from your old URLs, SSL, analytics, and Search Console, all set up and checked on staging before the new site goes live. Your search rankings carry over, they don't start from zero.
5. Growth
Post-launch, you move to a care plan covering hosting, updates, monitoring, backups, and support. If you want to grow beyond that, SEO or Google Ads are options, but only when the numbers make sense.

A major part of this was how useful the information tied into search engine optimization to help us drive traffic on the bison website. We learnt so much about troubleshooting in e-commerce and business and about the difference between earned media (social media) and owned media (your website) and how to make earned media point back to owned media. Thank you, YEG Digital! Marcia Ewuraesi MochiaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. For our group based course this semester, Paul, the CEO of YEG Digital, volunteered his time to deliver an in-depth presentation that helped our class develop a digital and website design plan for working with a small business. In particular, he helped our group refine our project direction by emphasizing the importance of strong social media visuals for marketing and attracting potential customers, which is especially useful in a small town. Thank you, Paul, for your valuable time and effort in making this process easier for us. Keizsa RarasTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Paul Letourneau was very professional, approachable, and generous with his time. Luke SchaeferTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Paul spoke in my University class to give us pointers on digital marketing and was an unreal speaker and very interactive, leading a class-wide discussion. His knowledge of website exposure and marketing/business techniques helped a lot with our project of working with small businesses. Helene BuysTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Paul came in to give a presentation for one of my classes on the topics of digital marketing, website development, and AI design strategies. He was very knowledgeable in what he was sharing with us and kept the class engaged throughout. I found Paul to be very considerate and forthcoming when answering questions and that he truly cared about ensuring we had the information we needed. Paul did an excellent job in conveying his knowledge, everything was clear and well organized. He even looked at some of the group projects to help us further understand what he was talking about and how to implement it. Paul gave my group some useful advice for our project. One of the key things he mentioned to us was that we could use Loom.com to record our screen and show the process we are going through step by step. We can then send this video to our partner, who runs a small hops fam, for future use when updating the website we are designing for them.
St Albert website pricing made simple
St Albert projects typically start near $4,500 and land between $7,500 and $15,000 once scope is nailed down. Larger, enterprise-level builds cost more. Hosting and support get billed separately as a monthly plan, and you’ll know the real number, not an estimate, before anything starts.
We don't disappear after launch
Ask a new St Albert client what went wrong with their last web developer, and it’s almost always the same answer: they vanished right after the invoice cleared. We split the fix into two parts. Hosting and maintenance covers the technical side, Kinsta hosting, daily backups, core updates, monitoring that catches issues before they become your problem. Website support is the other half: an ongoing Basecamp project, post any time, picked up by someone on our team whether it’s next week or years down the line.
Already have a website? Start with SEO
Plenty of St Albert businesses have a site they’re happy with that just isn’t showing up in search, and that’s not the same problem as a bad website. We’ll take an honest look and tell you which one you’re actually dealing with before recommending anything.
Who you'll actually work with
We’re about 20 minutes down the road in Edmonton, close enough to meet in person for a kickoff if that matters to you, but most of the work still runs over calls and email. The same four people handle your account start to finish either way, no handoffs.

St Albert web design FAQ
Do you work with businesses in St Albert, and can you help us rank locally?
Yes, both. We’re active throughout St Albert and Sturgeon County, and local SEO isn’t an upsell here, it’s baked into every build: schema markup, location pages, an aligned Google Business Profile, and content structured for how Google reads local intent.
How long does it take to build a website?
Six weeks covers most St Albert builds. E-commerce, custom features, or a heavy content migration stretches that to eight or twelve. The pace is almost always set by how fast we get content and sign-off back from you, not by us.
What does a website cost?
Most builds land between $4,500 and $15,000, with $7,500 being a typical starting point once scope is clear. That price is locked in before work begins, no hourly rate that grows as we go. Hosting and support are quoted separately, billed monthly.
Do you build on WordPress?
Yes, and on purpose. WordPress powers a huge share of the web and it’s open source, so you own the site outright instead of leasing access to it. Every build is custom too, no marketplace themes.
Do you write the content, or do we provide it?
It’s included. We start with keyword research and a look at your competitors before writing anything, and you approve everything before it goes live. Prefer to write your own copy? We’ll build around that instead.
Do we have to meet in person?
Only if you want to. Most St Albert clients handle the whole thing remotely, calls, email, a shared staging link, and it works fine. Since we’re close, an in-person kickoff or launch review is easy to set up if you’d rather.
Are there long-term contracts?
No lock-in contracts, ever. Hosting and support run month to month, and your site and data leave with you if you decide to go. The build itself is a fixed-scope project with a clear end date.
What happens to our rankings when the new site launches?
Every old URL gets mapped to a 301 redirect before the new site goes live, and we watch Search Console closely for weeks afterward. Expect a short dip during reindexing, it typically climbs back above where you started. The only sites that actually lose ground are the ones nobody planned redirects for.
Let's talk about your St Albert website
New site or a rebuild of one that isn’t working hard enough, either way, let’s talk it through first. You’ll get an honest read and a real price, no pressure attached.
